Tourist Attractions of India

Amongst the different parts and areas of India, there is no that can be termed subservient to the other.

The north includes the paradise on earth, Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, the most populated state in the country with its symbol of love, the Taj Mahal, the intensity and vibrancy of Rajasthan, the energetic passion of Punjab, the cosmopolitanism of Delhi, and the idyllic beauty of Himanchal and Uttranchal.

This part of India affords tours like those of the golden triangle, Ajanta and Ellora, forts and palaces, the Palace on Wheels, classical India and many more. It is also home to wildlife sanctuaries, several fairs and festivals, and a rich tradition in cultural and architectural history.

Western India comprises Maharasthra, the commercial capital of the land, Goa, the beach state with its charming Portuguese influence, and Gujarat known for its rich handicrafts. From the sun-kissed sands of Goa to the Gateway of India and Bollowood of Maharasthra to the tribes and temples of Gujarat, each of these states offers unique experiences that are distinct and irreplaceable.

Moving east, this region of India is made of the states - Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal, and Nagaland - that have a rich heritage in terms of tribal and folk culture, dialects, martial art form, performing arts, etc. From the snow-capped mesmerizing ethereality of Arunachal to the undulating hillsides covered in green in Assam, from the tea estates and plantaions of assam to the tribal wealth of Nagaland, nature’s bounty is to be found in every nook and corner here. These states are also very rich in different kinds of flora and fauna, with Meghalaya alone being home to over 300 kings of rare orchid species.

East India also includes Bengal with its rich culture and spirit of intellectuality, Bihar with its innumerable and fascinating rituals, and Orrisa with its tribal heritage. The states of the east afford the opportunity of several wildlife and tribal tours since they are exceptionally rich in them.

Central India is the region of Madhya Pradesh, a land of contrasts covering mountain ranges, forests, valleys and streams. One of its most popular attraction is the Khajaraho temple which is unparalleled in terms of its erotic and sculptural value. Madhya Pradesh also has several monuments with intricate carvings and historical grandeur. It is rich in tribal culture and wildlife as well.

The south is the land of peace, spice, coffee, culture and unbelievable beauty. Comprising of Karnataka, Kerela, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, it is a region of the backwaters, of gracious elegance, of aesthetic evolution that includes dance forms like the Kathakali, Bharatnatayam and Kucchpuddi, of marital arts, of luxury houseboats, of the Nizam’s jewels, of architectural wealth and of course, the unique backwaters of 400 rivers that crisscross in Kerela alone.

India is a land blessed with incredible and unparalled beauty and history. Every aspect of this country will amaze, inspire and delight you. From the soul to the body, from the senses to the expressions, it is an experience that you have to go through in order to understand, a journey that you have to travel in order to be touched by its indescribable magic.
